War Robots 1.8.0 Revival - Private Server
A downloadable WWR for Android
War Robots as it was in 2016, back online. Version 1.8.0 runs on a brand-new custom server, with new game modes, smarter bots and the grind from level 1 that made the original so addictive.
This is a closed test: expect the odd bug, and your feedback shapes what comes next.
What's new
Two new game modes next to classic Domination
- King of the Hill: one beacon counts at a time, and the hill moves. An on-screen banner shows the current hill, the next one and when it moves, so you can get there first.
- Team Deathmatch: no beacons, just robots. The first team to the kill target wins, or whoever has more kills when time runs out.
- Custom and private matches: set up matches with your friends, add bots, pick the mode and map.
The 2016 progression, rebuilt
- Everyone starts at level 1, with the original economy, repairs included.
- Maps unlock as you level up: start in Springfield and Dead City, and work your way to Yamantau.
- Daily tasks with silver, gold and workshop point rewards, the workshop, clans and clan scores.
- Regular events. Launch week: double silver and double gold!
Bots that play like pilots
Matches are filled with AI pilots, and they're a lot more than target practice:
- Realistic hangars: bots bring the robots and weapons a real player at your level would own. No maxed-out gear in your first battles.
- They know their weapons: where each weapon hits hardest, when they're outranged, and when to stay out of your reach. Artillery respects its minimum range, rocket users wait for a full volley, and Fujins raise their dome when a volley comes in.
- They play as a team: a commander sends bots to beacons, they flank, take cover, retreat when hurt, and go all in when the match is on the line.
- They learn the maps: between matches, bots remember where fights went wrong and which routes worked, and they explore new ones. The more you play, the less predictable they get.
- Fair matches: the server measures how well you play (damage, kills and captures) and balances the teams around it.
Quality of life
- Clear on-screen info for the new modes, and an end screen that tells you why the match ended.
- A web page (/play) to link your account, set up private matches and invite friends.
- A Discord bot with your profile and stats, leaderboards, match result cards with the MVP, map stats and clan info.
- Link your account to Discord or the web page with a code you type in the game's name box.
